Private Hire Driver Dies From Severe Injuries Two Weeks After The Passenger’s Death

The driver of a private hire vehicle which was involved in a crash on East Lancs crash which claimed the life of a female passenger has died, according to the police on Thursday 14th March. The private hire cab Ford Mondeo was involved in a horrific crash with a BMW on the early morning of Wednesday, February 27.

35-years old Passenger Michelle Jennings was killed on East Lancashire Road in Croxteth soon after the crash. Now, the local authorities are confirming the tragic news that the 51-year-old Dave Sherwin, has also passed away from severe injuries. He fought for 14 days in the hospital and gave up his life on Wednesday, March 13.

The 26 years old BMW driver from St Helens, who was taken into the custody on suspicion of causing injuries and deaths by dangerous driving has been released. The local Police made a fresh plea for the witnesses of the crash to come forward.

The husband of the passenger Michelle Jennings, who died earlier posted an emotional message on Facebook calling her wife the most lovely person in the world. Michelle leaves behind a devastated family, including husband Ged Jennings and children, five-year-old daughter Sophia and son Harry Jennings, aged 7.
